Saint Gobin, FRANCE

The mirrors in Versailles castle were made in the small northern town of Saint Gobin in the late 17^th century. The site of the old royal glassworks is now a group of neglected buildings from different eras. Over the centuries, Saint Gobin became a huge multinational company that sells building materials. Today it is present in 67 countries and employs over 170,000 people but there is no sign of it here.
